Dance-hall superstar Sean Paul will headline the Nov. 20 Eagle Paloozamusic festival — which, for the first time, is open to the public andnot just Florida Gulf Coast University students.

Only 1,000 tickets will be sold to the public, says FGCU special events coordinator Tia Freiburger. Florida Gulf Coast University studentsstill get in free and only need to show their student IDs at the gate.
Sean Paul’s reggae-flavored hits include “Get Busy”, “Like Glue”,“Gimme the Light” and “Temperature.” He’ll be joined by Jamaican rapper MIMS and comedians Arles Spears and Roy Wood Jr.
Eagle Palooza takes place from 5 to 11 p.m. at the school’s recreation field. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the gate.
The five-year-old annual festival is usually limited to FGCU students and their two guests. But organizers wanted to let anyone attend this year.
The festival attracted 4,200 people last year, but the recreation fieldcan hold 10,000, Freiburger says. She’s hoping for at least 5,000 people this year.
The festival also includes activities such as a mechanical bull, agladiator joust, a flag football competition, a rock-climbing wall anda golf driving range.
